According to ZUGSPITZE, Germany (Reuters), the glacier is melting despite the Herculean efforts to save it.
Frank Huber, the manager of cable car and skiing operations on the 2,962-meter peak in the northern Alps is very sad that the glacier is melting and he can’t do anything for it.
He regrets that his children may not see it and enjoyed it as he did when he was little boy.
Scientists blame it on global warming and on the change in the climate.

The weather should certainly NOT be blamed for this glacier melting. Global warming is NOT the cause of this glacier melting. Global warming is a RESULT, not a cause! The cause is the fact that humanity has pumped gasses into the atmosphere that retain heat. We are the cause of the glacier melting.
I'm with jamboo on this one. We are causing global warming...and that is causing glaciers to melt...and threatening polar bears and other creatures with starvation and extinction.
