TERRIBLE E-MAIL MISTAKE

The Golden State Warriors bring about the second public relations scandal by a professional team in the Bay Area in the last year. An article on cbs5.com says that the public relations manager of the team, Eric Govan, was fired Wednesday for sending out an email titled “Ghetto Prom”, to his entire media distribution team. The email included 17 pictures depicting students outfits, and making racial related comments. Gavan apologized for his action, and claimed that it had all been a terrible accident since he had initially indented to send the pictures to his wife. The teams president Robert Rowell on the other hand, made it clear that the comments and action of Gavan did not represent the values and beliefs of the Golden State Warriors. We’ll see what issues arise from this incident. I’m sure that the people depicted in the pictures are not at all happy. This is another example of how emails can get people in some serious trouble. This is definitely a mistake that Gavan is probably still regretting.
